AARP Income Tax Assistance

The AARP Foundation Tax Aide Program in cooperation with the IRS and California Tax Board will have volunteers at SCEG to provide free personal income tax assistance through the second week of April. At this time all appointments are full.

Blood Pressure Clinic - 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Fridays at SCEG (see office for room)

Caregiver Support Group meets at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays at "Sunrise at Laguna", 6727 Laguna Park Drive, Elk Grove. The facilitator is Alberta Bugaj.

H.I.C.A.P. (Health Insurance Advocacy Program) helps seniors with Medicare or health insurance issues. Call 685-3160 for an appointment with a counselor or H.I.C.A.P. at 916-376-8915.

Elk Grove Return Home Program- The Elk Grove Police Department Return Home Program provides networking information between the Police Dept. and the family, loved ones, or caregivers in need. Family members or authorized caregivers can register individuals who may be at risk of becoming lost, disoriented, or missing due to ANY condition. E-Van- ADA Paratransit Service & Non-ADA Paratransit Service operated by the City of Elk Grove. Application must be completed. Call (916) 683-8726 for more information.

Neuropathy Support Group meets at SCEG on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 2 p.m. The facilitator is Michael Colozzi. The next meeting is April 14th at 2 p.m.

Senior Brown Bag Program- Elk Grove Community Assistance Network - EG CAN, 3rd Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at 8820 Elk Grove Blvd. Call 685-8453, ext. 5 for qualification requirements.

Wills and Trust Clinics occur every six weeks at SCEG with Drobny Law Offices. Participants are eligible to receive a free Will and Durable Powers of Attorney for Financial and Health Care Decisions in exchange for a $35 contribution to SCEG.
